For the first time in Emerson Williams History, we had a Color Guard with marching Snare Drum players, and a marching entrance for our instrumental ensemble. You all should be so proud of yourselves!
I have many shout outs to announce, Congrats to.....
*The Four 6th grade Trumpet players who took the time to memorize a special march to play as the ensemble marched in. Playing and marching is not an easy task and you nailed it! Bravo!
*All of our wonderful singing Tigers who sang their hearts out.
*Our Color Guard flag holders, Drummers and Drum Helpers.
*The 29 instrumentalist who took the time to learn a new piece and perform it beautifully together. THANK YOU for watching me during the fermatas, you stayed together as an ensemble and it was breathtaking!
*Our awesome Flute player, Jonathan for his wonderful flute solo during "Chester".
*Student Council for their hard work in many areas of the assembly and planning.
I have one more special shout out for my instrumental ensemble. Today, you sat up tall, represented yourselves with pride and helped each other when someone needed it. You were lined up in the hallway in the correct order before I even had to ask you to be. If someone was unsure of where in the line to go, or needed help with their instrument, you helped them and made sure they were OK. The level of maturity and respect you demonstrated today is the reason we are able to perform at special events like today. I am so proud of you. :)
